How to choose
Sterilised cats
Neutered cats burn fewer calories, and many house cats in Lebanon are indoor and sterilised. A sterilised formula has less fat and is usually designed with urinary health in mind. Compare fat in the table: sterilised recipes in our range have 10–12% fat, against 12–20% for standard adult foods.
Protein level
Most healthy adult cats do well on 30% protein or more. Very active cats and kittens benefit from the higher-protein recipes in the table.
Water matters
Cats on dry food need to drink well. Leave fresh water in several places, and consider adding some wet food or a lickable treat a few times a week, especially in summer.
Cost per kg, not per bag
A 4kg adult cat eats roughly 50–60g of dry food a day, so a 15kg bag lasts about eight to nine months for one cat, or around three months for a home with three cats. Larger bags are cheaper per kg, but keep them sealed and use them within a couple of months of opening.
